Home-made pedialyte!!

pedialyte no

I posted the other day about keeping baby hydrated with water-juice combo or pedialyte pops.  But I just stumbled across this article, which includes a home-made hydrated juice/pop recipe, and suggests we do not need all the added ingredients in that pedialyte.  I try to keep things natural when it comes to feeding kiddos, so this recipe is a no-brainer!  I will make this drink and freeze some for my little ones (probably adding some juice for flavor)…and I thought you might want to too!

Homemade Pedialyte Recipe

Mix together:

  • 1 quart water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Note: If you fear your child will think this drink is too plain consider adding in a couple splashes of orange Juice. Also, the sugar and salt may dissolve more easily if you warm up the water first.
